Thank you for your interest in scheduling lactation help with Inland NW Lactation Associates. At this time, given the environment surrounding COVID-19 and the safety of our providers and the families we serve, all lactation care is provided via virtual tele-lactation by Melissa Morgan, IBCLC, RLC, LE. We appreciate your understanding during this stressful time.
With tele-lactation, Melissa is able to offer every service, assessment, and evaluation that she would perform during a home or clinic consult, except weighing babies. She can collect a full health history, assess feeding (latch) and maternal and infant factors that relate to feeding, and develop plans to help your breastfeeding challenges.
Upon completing the appointment request below, your request will be evaluated and confirmed by Melissa. When confirmed, the medical records system will send you an email invitation to join the PHR (patient health record) system where you will complete our intake/new patient questionnaire. You will also receive an email with the URL to access your private tele-lactation “room” and instructions on what to expect during the consult. At the appointment time, Melissa will meet you in that “room.”
Please note: appointment slots are 2 hours apart, but initial visits are usually 90 minutes long and follow-up visits are 60-75 minutes long.
Regarding payment for your consult, you will receive an invoice via email from SquareUp. We do not bill insurance directly for lactation consults. Payment must be received prior to the start of your consult. After your consult, you will be able to log in to your PHR to access our notes from the consult, as well as a superbill/invoice that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. *We do not guarantee reimbursement.* If applicable, you may use an HSA/FSA debit card to pay your invoice. If you pay via HSA/FSA, you may not also submit your receipt to insurance for possible reimbursement.
If you are a client with Spokane River Midwives, your birth package includes a tele-lactation visit with Melissa. Please select the appropriate “Midwife Package” option below. Your information will be verified with Spokane River Midwives and you will not receive an invoice for this appointment.
